Native Texan - Self Taught Artist
Art for me has been a healing experience, it has been a journey that started in childhood,....and then took a long and painful break. Then, I pick it back up about 8 years ago, and it has been with me everyday since. Photography is how I made my living for 20+ years as a portrait photographer, and still make a portion of my income that way.
The Artwork... I work with mostly vintage materials, that I acquired through a woman Artist's estate (Eulalie Allen). Also...I enjoy using recycled things in my art. I have a rule with that...I only use it in my mosaic Art if it is cracked or chipped, because I don't believe in breaking a perfectly good antique. I also work in collage, pen & ink, pottery, copper enamel, watercolor, and of course... photography.
